General Permissions
Threadjacking/threadhopping?: Absolutely!
4th-walling?: Check with me first please!
Backtagging: Hell yes.
Fighting/maiming?: Kid's pretty combat-aligned, and being a shinigami makes him very hard to kill (he can take a lot of bodily damage), so he's open for your battle-esque needs.
Death?: LOL PUN.
Kissing/hugging/badtouching/etc?: He'll flail and count your eyelashes or something, but absolutely.
Relationships: Fine through in-game development!
Other: For those with extrasensory perceptions, Kid does ping as an actual god of death, albeit a young or "incomplete" one, owing to the unconnected Sanzu lines.
Canon Permissions
As a shinigami, Kid has some canon abilities as well as some quirks which are... well, quirky. Yea / Nay any of these you'd like.
Symmetry Target:
Kid has an overwhelming need/urge/desire to "fix" anything that's not symmetrical (even if it doesn't need to be) so he'll occasionally invade people's spaces (include the personal bubble) to arrange things to their ultimate aesthetic appeal.
Soul Perception:
If he focuses on it, Kid can sense people's souls, though it can be fooled if your character has anything comparable to a witch's Soul Protect spell (and of course not all characters fall 100% into one category or the other). This also gives Kid an option of identifying people if he couldn't go by their physical appearances (like if he were blindfolded, or illusions/disguises, etc) and allows him to track people down in a city-wide range (again, provided they're not spiritually shielded).
Some things Kid COULD discern from a person's soul, all of these dependent on player approval:
• Their "good/evil" alignment, or a D&D sort of alignment class
• A general sense of their main personality traits (brave, cruel, cheerful, etc)
• Major emotional upheavals (if someone is upset/sad/scared/angry/etc)
• Life force (if they're injured/dying/healthy/etc)
• Whether they are human/not human/supernatural/have no soul/have multiple souls/etc
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the case of those with secret identities, even if you mark YES that Kid is allowed to (eventually) discover that someone is the same, I will NEVER have him reveal that information to other characters without the player's express permission and OOC plotting beforehand! (Basically, if you want to use it for furthering your CR, I'm game for it, otherwise it won't come up.)

The necklace isn't going anywhere, and if he ends up brushing his forehead, he'll get out of reach pretty much immediately.

So "Good" in terms of alignment it probably hurts. All that kindness weighed up against his tendency to argue. He's free to pick up the state of his life force, which might show he's functionally immortal? Might also be some sort of connection to Yokuhi/his other shirei and his ruler, even if he's not present.
Absolutely feel free to have Kid pick on the fact that he's not human.

Mostly chaotic good alignment.
Main Personality traits: Brave, Cynical, Cheerful
Half-Ghost. Depending on how you interpret canon, he's either a living human soul that had ghost energy fused into it, or he somehow managed to get stuck halfway between living and dying. Either way, his soul is probably going to look weird.

Strong belief in justice. Not the law so much.
Not sure if this would show up, but Conan has encountered a lot of death. So much so that hes been repeatedly accused of either being a shinigami or being cursed and in need of some good luck charms.
His soul's age is older than he appears.

Oh I already answered that above, but the thing that's most unusual about Leo is his eyes. Other than that he can tell that Leo is a pretty nice, good person who's fairly non-judgemental and salty about injustice. Probably hovering around neutral good.

UH there is nothing I wouldn't want him to discover, so you're free to go off of Naesala's personality as written in his biography. The big thing is that he's more responsible than he acts, and cares for people more than he'll ever let on about. He's still shady as fuck and is looking out for number one when that doesn't conflict with his responsibilities. I actually think True Neutral would be the closest to a DnD style alignment I could give him.
Naesala is a non-human shapeshifter, but in his canon both humans and laguz evolved from the same being, so it'd be reasonable to consider him sort of human-adjacent.

• What information might he be allowed to glean from that? Is there anything you DON'T want him to discover? He can discover everything! Again, Trahearne's personality is in his biography for reference, but he's scholarly, a little reclusive, and on a boy-scout level of 'good guy'. He's definitely Neutral Good.
It's safe to say that sylvari are inherently magical non-human beings, but whether or not they have a soul is something still a matter of debate. Sylvari are the only race that have never been seen as ghosts, and they don't end up in the afterlife realm like everyone else does. It was only recently in-game that we saw one SINGLE sylvari in a separate purgatory reserved for the dead to process their traumatic deaths before moving on.
And I still have questions about that since it seems to contradict the earlier lore.So... given all of that, I'd say you're welcome to assume that Trahearne either doesn't have a proper soul or has something that isn't like the traditional definition of one.
